How to wash all-over print swimwear
Machine-wash cold with similar colors, and do not bleach or dry-clean. Those are Printful's instructions for all-over-print swimwear, including the base garments behind our collection.
Read the care label on your own piece before washing or drying. These instructions describe our manufacturer's swimwear category, not every printed swimsuit sold elsewhere.
Start after the swim
Printful recommends thoroughly rinsing its string bikini after each use to remove chlorine and salt residue. That is the base style used for NanoBikini. Use fresh water for that rinse rather than leaving pool or seawater in the garment.
For NanoShort, Printful specifically recommends washing with similar colors and not wringing the garment. Do not twist the trunks to squeeze them dry.
A rinse and a laundry wash are different steps. Rinsing addresses residue after swimming; use the care label when deciding how to wash the piece afterward.
Use the swimwear instructions, not the T-shirt instructions
Printful's care guide covers several printing methods and product types. Its all-over-print swimwear section says to machine-wash cold with like colors.
Keep the swimwear with similar-colored laundry and leave bleach out of the wash. The same section also says not to dry-clean.
Do not borrow a hotter wash setting from a towel's instructions. Likewise, the guide's T-shirt detergent and cycle instructions belong to a different printing category. We have not verified a specific detergent dose or numeric wash-temperature limit for these two garments.
Check before using a dryer
The manufacturer's swimwear section does not give a tumble-drying setting. That omission is not permission to use the dryer. Follow the drying symbols on the garment label.
Printful's general garment-care advice favors air-drying, particularly for clothing containing elastane. Air-drying is a cautious general suggestion here, not a verified dryer restriction for either exact product.
If you cannot interpret the label, send a clear photo to shoptest. Ask before choosing a heat setting rather than guessing from another garment.
What about ironing?
Printful's all-over-print swimwear category specifies low-heat ironing. Check your piece's label before ironing it. This category guidance does not mean every printed fabric tolerates the same heat.
Care does not change fit or guarantee lifespan
These are maintenance instructions, not a promise that a swimsuit cannot fade or wear out. Our chlorine guide discusses pool exposure separately.
Before choosing NanoShort swim trunks or NanoBikini, check the size guide. Washing is not a way to correct a wrong size. Read our shipping and returns terms before ordering.
